N.Muralikrishnan under the model "Changing Trends Without Changing Traditional
Values TM" has developed a new genre of playing Carnatic Music on the electronic
keyboard and has successfully trained several students to give performances on the
keyboard. Playing Carnatic Music on the keyboard has served as a tool for several
young generations South Asian Americans in understanding and appreciating the
traditional background adapting to change and continuity, a concept of which is
presented in his CD titled Veena
Ecstasy.

In the ongoing efforts to cultivate Indian Classical Music, he and his wife Rose
Muralikrishan an accomplished vocalist founded the music academy Isai Sangam in
1991 to promote Indian music and culture
, which is now a division of  Spring Nectar
Academy.
The mission of  Spring Nectar Academy  is to preserve and present the 2000
year old rich heritage of Indian Classical music in the United States through
performance and teaching.
